No, I honestly believe that Sony thought they could get Blu-ray into people's houses and at the same time have the success that they had with the PS2.

So true. I always find it funny when people act like if the PS3 finishes in 3rd it is just going to fall off the map and cease to exist, or that if the 360 falls to 3rd that it will suddenly be dead.
It is not that way at all. No matter what happens at this point all consoles are going to do well and continue to be supported.
I think we will see at least one new console by 2012, but even then I believe the current consoles will continue to be supported for a good...

Halo 3 ODST has far, far more content and got better scores, but it was bashed by the mindless ps3 drones. MAG is an online-only game and is not a particularly amazing one at that and yet it is going for full price. ODST should have been $50 and MAG should be $30.
They are hypocrites, plain and simple.
All you guys probably suck at Halo and that is why you hate on it so much.
Because some of the best games on any console are not exclusives. Many of my favorite games are multi-platform games.

You really revealed your bias. You should have been asking Morkendo "64%? Based on what?", since he just pulled that number out of his @ss. The failure rate has never been anywhere near that. Square Trade said that the failure rates reported have fallen to less than 5%.
No, it's just that most of us think the 360's lineup is a lot better. The PS3's isn't horrible, it just isn't as good.
Natal is much more advanced and can accurately measure motion in 3 dimensions, has voice recognition, can map 48 different joints in the body, can recognize and analyze more than one person at a time. Natal is on a whole 'nother level compared to the eye toy. They are only superficially similar.

You sound jealous. What does it matter which one scores higher overall. Scores are just opinions. Mass Effect 2 will likely be my favorite game of the generation and I don't care if it is higher or lower than some other game on metacritic.
I can already tell you that it is by far one of the best games I have ever played. I'm only a little way into the game, but I can already tell that it will probably be my favorite game this generation.

I honestly don't care if they improve or not. The graphics already look amazing to me. But you have to be stupid if you think they aren't going to improve anything between now and when it comes out.
Halo Reach looks damn good and it is only going to be improved more between now and when it comes out.

You probably didn't do anything to the screenshot, but Xi already showed how you can get screenshots that show whatever you want to show. Those Killzone 2 screenshots he showed looked horrible and light years away from the first Killzone 2 trailers.
Show me a true gameplay screenshot from a pre-alpha build of Halo 3, not an early trailer which wasn't even found in the final game. That screenshot...
That was an awesome video review. I watched the whole thing and I don't think it gave away too much about the game. I am really impressed with how good it looks and all the improvements they have made like better menus, more customization options, better side missions and more refined combat.
Yeah, once the new consoles come out it is a whole new generation and this generation will end.
Nobody will really care at that point.
